Nakuru Campus Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is located at Crescent Road, Milimani Estate, about one kilometer north of Nakuru town in Nakuru County in  County.

Nakuru KMTC Campus Application Dates and Deadlines

KMTC colleges offer two intakes within an academic year, i.e, the March, and the September intake.

Once the application is successful, the applicant will join the medical college either in March or September.

Nakuru Campus KMTC Courses, and Duration

It will take you 2 years to complete a KMTC Certificate Course, except for a nursing certificate that lasts for a duration of 2 ½ years before completion. On the other hand, Diploma Courses take 3 years, except for Community Health Nursing diploma which takes 3 ½ years.

Nakuru KMTC Campus  Minimum Course Entry Requirements for Diploma, Certificate, and Higher Diploma Applicants

The minimum set entry requirement for admissions to KMTC to pursue a Certificate Course is a minimum KCSE aggregate of C-. In addition to the above grade, specific qualifications in cluster subjects have to be met.

In order to pursue a Diploma Course: a minimum mean grade of C plain (or its equivalent) in KCSE is mandatory. In addition, a combination of other subjects such as English, Kiswahili, Biology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Physical Sciences, will play a key role.

Lastly, Higher Diploma Courses require a minimum of a basic Diploma in relevant fields, and at least a minimum of two years of work experience.

Nakuru Campus KMTC Fees Structure and Payment Details for Government and Private Students

The Kenya Medical Training College fee structure is grouped into two, based on how the student got admitted to the college. The first group is the government-sponsored (Regular) students, and the second is the Self Sponsored students (Private).

The Regular KMTC students (government-sponsored) at Nakuru Campus, pay the following

This Nakuru college became operational from 1973.

Currently, the campus hosts a population of over 1530 students. The population is expected to increase as more courses are introduced and more admissions made.

The students use Nakuru County Teaching and Referral Hospital close to the Campus for their clinical experience. In addition, they also use the Rural Health facilities within and outside County.

These clinical areas available for use include:

For a more hands-on experience and specialized placement, the various County Teaching and Referral Hospitals are used.
